President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he was following with great concern the shooting that took place on Saturday evening near the venue of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was attended by U.S. President Donald Trump
In a statement, Sisi condemned the incident, reaffirming Egypt’s firm rejection of all forms of political violence and terrorism, which he described as a serious threat to the security and stability of societies
He also expressed relief at President Trump’s safety, wishing him continued good health and the United States security, stability and prosperity
