Al Arish – Dalia Attia
Al Arish Port received the UAE aid vessel Saqar Al Insaniyah 12, carrying more than 4,000 tonnes of humanitarian assistance bound for the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, which has been ongoing since November 2023.
Mohamed Al Sherif, the official spokesperson for Operation Gallant Knight 3, told NNA that the ship is loaded with a wide range of humanitarian supplies, including food items, medical aid, and basic necessities, prepared in line with accurate field assessments
of Gaza’s needs, particularly with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan
He noted that the shipment comes within the framework of the United Arab Emirates’ continued humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people through land, sea, and air channels, in implementation of the directives of the UAE leadership to intensify assistance during times of crisis.
On the other hand, Egypt’s pivotal role is underscored through Al Arish Port, which serves as the main lifeline and transit hub for humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, supported by integrated logistical and aerial coordination reflecting Egypt’s historical responsibility and regional role in managing humanitarian crises.
The aid supplies are set to be transferred to the UAE humanitarian logistics center in Al Arish, ahead of their entry into Gaza in coordination with official authorities and humanitarian partners.
